Exterior · Gutters
Texas rain arrives all at once. Your gutters should be sized for it.
Seamless gutters and downspouts sized for your roof area and pitch, so heavy storms go into the drain instead of over the edge, into the fascia, or against the foundation.

Why gutters matter more here
In much of Texas, expansive clay soils make foundations sensitive to water dumped right beside them. Gutters that overflow or downspouts that empty at the slab can contribute to soil movement and drainage problems.
Gutters also protect fascia boards and the roof edge. Overflowing water rots fascia and can back up under the drip edge.

Sizing
Choosing the right size
| 5" K-style | 6" K-style | |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | Standard | About 40% more water |
| Typical downspout | 2" × 3" | 3" × 4" |
| Good fit | Smaller roofs, moderate pitch | Large or steep roofs, long runs, valleys dumping into one corner |
| Look | Lower profile | Slightly larger profile; better for big homes |
We size by the roof area draining to each run and the roof pitch — not by what was there before.
Options
What we install
Should I replace gutters with a new roof?
If gutters are older, damaged or undersized, doing them with the roof is efficient: the drip edge and gutters can be fitted together. If they’re in good shape, we’ll protect and reuse them.
Do gutter guards really work?
They reduce cleaning, not eliminate it. Fine pine needles and seed pods can still collect. The right guard depends on your trees.
Next step
Water going where it shouldn’t?
We’ll measure the roof areas, check the fascia, and size a gutter system for it.
